Generations of jewellers
Mashiah Shem-Tov, the company's chairman, was born in Palestine in 1938. Like his father and grandfather before him, he was trained as a working jeweller in the family workshop. He established Shem-Tov Jewellery (London) Limited after emigrating to Britain in 1977.

After completing his education in the United States his son, Managing Director David Shem-Tov joined the family business and set up the wholly-owned Stubbs&Co. subsidiary in 1991. David's brother, Director Eran Shem-Tov joined the firm a few years later.

Great service depends on outstanding people
As a family business, we appreciate the challenges faced by our customers, many of whom run family businesses of their own. We believe that we can best serve our customers by nurturing a team of exceptional individuals. Many employees have benefitted from the company's professional training scheme. Most of our people have been with us for many years.

Acting responsibly
The Kimberley Process is an initiative to stem the flow of conflict diamonds. Stubbs&Co. complies with the World Diamond Council system of industry self regulation which has been created to complement the process.

Through our membership of the British Jewellery Association, we subscribe to the standards promulgated by the Responsible Jewellery Council. We support their commitment to promote responsible business practices in a transparent and accountable manner throughout the industry from mine to retail. This aims to maintain consumer confidence in diamond and gold jewellery products and the trust of all interested stakeholders in our industry.
